J1 Door Company Inc. was founded in 2016. The founders started with $900 worth of savings and a vision. Jumping out on a limb, they were determined to beat the competition by providing quality customer service and staying in the habit of always saying yes!  Here are some quick facts on the company! 

• We settled into Plainfield December 2019, before that J1 Door was a full mobile company operating out of a small garage in Roselle Park NJ. Our trucks were our office! (Imagine the coffee spills!)

• We primarily service commercial accounts and new construction buildings. 

• We are a minority owned business and take pride in hiring minorities also! Proudly our staff represents the African American community and peoples of Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Colombia, Nicaragua, Ecuador & more! We eagerly seek to build our team while maintaining a true representation of our community. 

• Age is just a number? The founders are in their thirties, and the majority of the staff is even younger. We take pride in being modern, being innovative and having fun with such a historical trade! We of course cherish the ones who’ve stepped foot before us! We house master technicians that have up to 44 years of overhead experience and their qualifications need a section of their own too! They are truly masters who have witnessed the evolution of doors! Our motto is that skill does not rank by age.

• We are a family! Not just a family owned business (a husband and wife duo raising up some future J1’ers) but our team bonds like a family;  We build on each others talents and encourage growth! Our dynamic energy makes us a powerful team!
